Hi, I am Michelle, painter of angel wings, nature, birch trees, pet portraits and murals. I find my inspiration in the natural world and the spiritual world.
I’m a self-taught artist painting with oil paints, fine acrylics and mixed media on canvas.
Growing up in a creative family, with an artist mom, and a dad who could rebuild cars and airplanes left me with a need to create. After 12 years of banking, I left to pursue a career in Art.
My art has evolved over the years since I started painting murals in children’s rooms. Painting on canvas, and corporate murals added to my creative practice. Teaching art classes came next. I love sharing my joy of painting with others, especially with small groups. I love it when you see their confidence bloom, or their pride in a their finished artwork.
My husband Roy and I have two grown children and two delightful grandchildren. We all live in Lloydminster, Alberta and love spending time at the cabin on Murphy Lake. Our sweet puppy, a Shorkie (Yorkie/Shihtzu cross) named Piper, joined our family in 2021.
When I’m not painting in my home studio or at the kitchen table at our cabin, you can find me walking the dog, enjoying lunch and a glass of wine with friends, or watching the grandkids having fun at Cheer, Ball, Hockey, the Park, or the Lake.
